ishouldaknownbetter Asked: Hello... I read and liked your comment about Eurovision. I liked Nina and Kaliopi very much as well. What a shame: one at 9th place and the other 13th! They deserved more, especially Nina Zilli. smile from Italy

I’m so glad to see that some people still have a good taste in music :D

Anonymous Asked: Hey i just read your post about the Eurovision, did Zeljko says he's not singing anymore at it orr ?

Yeah, he said in an interview that he’s not coming back as a performer. He said he might compose songs for Eurovision though….

mydiaryroom Asked: Heey! Just read your thoughts on this year's Eurovision finale and I agree with most things specially with Russia beating Spain, Italy and Serbia. I was also shocked to see Italy and Spain do like they did with such goods songs, Sweden deserved to win but Spain kicked her ass on the Final she did it way better than the actual winner. xoxo Cesar

SUVHSDNCMAIORGHU I know right??? I’m so pissed off…… I mean, Loreen’s a great singer (but Pastora is a lot better ;) ), but Euphoria is such a simple, overrated song. It’s way too repetitive. I heard rumors about Italy bribing the jury to not vote for them and Spain telling Pastora to mess up and try not to win because they can’t afford to host the contest. This is just so sad….. The best entries can’t win because they don’t have the money…..

As you can see, I am currently going through the process of forgetting about a terrible Eurovision year.

I would just like to say, Nina Zilli, I loved you and your performance. I understand that Italy is not in the position to host Eurovision, but I believe that you deserve top 5 and nothing less. I hope you return to Eurovision and when Italy’s financial crisis is coming to an end, you may bring Eurovision to Italy. Until then, I hope you have a very successful career and a fantastic life.

To Zeljko, you are so talented and I give all the best wishes to you.  I’m proud of your performance and I sincerely believe that you deserved to be at least second. I really hope that you change your mind about not coming back to perform in Eurovision because I believe that you can bring Serbia another victory.

To Pastora, you voice enchants everyone who listens to you. I honestly think that you could be a superstar. I know that Spain too is not prepared to host Eurovision, but I truly believe that you deserved to win. I really do hope that you’ll return to Eurovision and show the other acts what a real singer sounds like.

To Kaliopi, I’m so happy that your song made it to 12th. I didn’t know that other people liked the song because I have read a lot of negative reviews about it… That being said, I think you deserve at least top 10, if not, top 5. I love your spirit and your music. Since you have already been to Eurovision twice, I hope that you are not tired of the contest because I would love to see you come back and score a higher position.

I am prepared to wait a year for the next contest because I don’t think I will be able to take more heartbreak and disappointment any time soon. I hope next year, there will be many great entries. That’s it for this year. Goodbye, Eurovision 2012.

Anonymous Asked: Oh wow! That's awesome! I live in Toronto too and I'm Russia. I'm really inspired by you now. You seem so motivated to know languages and get good education and you sound very intelligent. Good luck getting into a university you want to go! :)

Awww thank you!!! :D I love learning about the world and about different cultures and languages. Other people are talented singers, dancers, and artists, and I feel like cultures and languages are my talents. And thank you so much!!! I really hope I get into a good university. Hopefully I’ll also get the chance to study abroad. <3

Anonymous Asked: Someone probably asked you this before, but what languages do you speak and are you from Toronto? :D ps: your blog is awesome.

I speak fluent Canadian English and Mandarin Chinese. I learned Latin American Spanish for 2 years and I regret not continuing it. I’m currently learning French (It’s currently my 2nd year). I really wish I was learning Quebecois rather than French French though….. lol ;) And I know a few lines and words in Polish. I’m attempting to learn Serbian and Russian by myself, but that is going very very slowly……….. lol

I was born in Tianjin, China (a 1 hour train ride from Beijing). I moved to Toronto when I was 5. I’m a Canadian citizen and I’m proud of it. I think of Canada as my home. I moved to NYC when I was 10.

Thank you so much!!! :D

fangirlmanifesto Asked: yeah, not at St. George campus anyway, which is really stupid :( I think as a citizen you'd pay the domestic tuition.

YESSSSSSS!!!!!! :D I might apply to McGill and see what happens…… lol :D

fangirlmanifesto Asked: Well, the University of Toronto has a department of Slavic languages and you could major/minor in Serbian, along with taking a bunch of other language and history courses.

I’m currently most likely going to major in anthropology and then take some languages as part of my curriculum. I searched online and I didn’t see that the university of toronto had Anthropology…. Also, I’m currently going to school in the US, but I’m a Canadian citizen, so if I decide to go back to Canada for college, do you know if I would have to pay the international tuition or the canadian one?

futurefantasywriter Asked: It's so nice that you like Serbian and other Slavic languages :) Didn't think that anyone who lives in NYC could be like that. But then again, it's a big city, lol. Do you perhaps plan to study south-Slavic languages in the future? Greetings from Serbia :)

LOL :D I’m currently in high school and my school doesn’t offer any slavic languages whatsoever……. So I’m slowly learning Russian and Serbian on my own. But I’ll be applying to college soon, so I want to find a school which offers Serbian, Russian, Polish, and other Slavic languages so that I’ll learn faster and actually have a teacher…. I really hope that one day I’ll be able to speak Serbian fluently because it’s a really beautiful language :D

I’ve wondered this for such a long time…. So many people dream about going to Paris. I’ve been there, but I don’t get why people are so in love with the city….. In my opinion, I prefer Rome and Florence (and Tuscany in general).
